- how do you navigate a network that everyone else knows?

- loss of control of your network, who sees it? How do you control who knows what? Limited availability of tools for this.

- no longer a clear understanding of who is in the audience (frontstage/backstage)

- impact of online persona on offline personal

- unawareness of consequences/publicness of the information.

- norms surrounding online social networks

One other issue:

how do you control how your information ends up in someone else's profile? For example: pictures, etc...

I think this is a question that's going to be very relevant for the present project I'm working in/on -- if the intent behind a network is to make networks and access more open, will it be "desired" enough to work?

Can we make a network that is open to any comers, with minimal registration requirements? e.g. anyone can join, but only those who have joined have total access?

Too vague, or did that make sense?

I would further want to know how people prioritize their networks when they have a number of them and perhaps a number if different on-line identities.
